Since ten years Peipsi CTC represents Lake Peipsi at international lake network Living Lakes. The aim of this network is the sustainable development of lake regions as well as the exchange of experiences between stakeholders, living at and from the lake. In 2010, the coordinator of this network, the German NGO Global Nature Fund, together with the Italian and Dutch partners started a EU-funded project regarding sustainability and competitiveness of tourism in lake areas in Europe. An important part of the project is a visitor survey, aimed at measuring the satisfaction of visitors of the tourism offer on and around the lake they have been staying at.
