ECOLIT 2 started: an innovative project on economy education for adults in Europe.

02. January 2020

In november 2019 started ERASMUS+ project ECOLIT 2 „Fresh-up Economics. Towards Economic Literacy in Europe“. It is an innovative project on economy education. Six project partners of the European Union create together a learning platform in six languages for economic literacy for adults in Europe.

How is money created – every day? Why are the interest rates of the European Central Bank currently so low? What are the reasons of financial and economic crises? How can the euro zone problems be explained? Do we need economic growth? What does it mean to organise an economy which runs socially and ecologically? What different schools' economic thinking exist? What about the impact of these various interpretations of the economy on the concrete proposals to the economic policy of a state?  On these and other questions project partners will answer via creating a learning platform in six languages for economic literacy for adults in Europe.

Partners have discussed the fine-tuning of the economic topics to be dealt with: market and state, labour, money, taxes, debt, migration and global justice.
